Hello, I’m Tonia! I’m delighted to be running Musical Bumps in the Maidstone area.
I am a primary school teacher by training, and until recently worked in a Primary School just down the road. As well as this, I’ve run successful choirs as well as singing and dancing clubs – so you can see I like to keep busy!
I left teaching to become a full-time mum and started Musical Bumps classes with my little girl when she was a few months old. From the first class, I knew I wanted to run Musical Bumps classes too – and now I am!
Music has always been a large part of my life and I have always enjoyed singing and learnt to play the piano as a child. Singing lessons began when I was a teenager, and I now perform regularly for local Age Concern groups and nursing homes. I’m also a keen member of local amateur dramatics groups and have been known to perform in the odd panto (oh yes I have!).
I have always known that music education is extremely important – where better to start than in the early years! I can’t wait to share my passion and love of music and singing with families in Maidstone.
Musical Bumps Maidstone can create a bespoke programme of learning for your school or nursery’s specific needs. From one-off workshops or parties, clubs and choirs right through to a full music curriculum for EYFS and KS1. You can rely on Musical Bumps to provide stimulating, ambitious, practical and musical classes and clubs!
