Welcome to Musical Bumps! I am thrilled to be able to bring this fantastic class to Central Bedfordshire and hope that you will love it as much as I do!
I was first introduced to Musical Bumps when I had my eldest son, Oscar – now 14 with a younger brother Ed, aged 12. Oscar and I loved going to Musical Bumps with Maree in Croydon, and when we moved away from the area, I really missed the classes. I looked around for alternatives but could not find classes that had such a fabulous mixture of fun and education for all ages of pre-school children, as well as the all important social time for me as a mummy!
So 7 years later, and after 2.5 years of being a ‘stay at home mum’, I made the decision to look for a career that would suit my family and that I would love to do. Singing whilst washing up one day, I was struck by inspiration. ‘What about Musical Bumps?!’
A bit of research later, and here I am. I love music and play the cello and the piano, and obviously love singing (much to my children’s horror sometimes!). I passionately believe that music and singing have tremendous benefits to young and old alike, and am looking forward to sharing this with you.
Trial classes are available at a reduced rate and are subject to availability in your preferred class.

‘We and our families always look forward to the sessions with Alex at Keech. Alex has developed a lovely relationship with the children and parents, and brilliantly plans each session to include all our children, no matter how complex or severe their condition or needs.’

‘My son is addicted to Musical Bumps!! I had attended some sensory classes with my son, who was overwhelmed with the space, noise and visual stimulation. He would last 5-10 minutes and had to be comforted… then we found Musical Bumps!! Alex is warm and welcoming, in spaces that are not overwhelming, the classes start off gentle, then with some energetic songs, finishing with time to comfort and feed if you need to. There’s also time to meet and speak with other mums, which saved my sanity on more than one occasion. My son LOVES this class (and Alex!), we have got so much more out of it, than just getting out of the house each week, and have a library of songs for comforting, putting to bed, bath time and even keeping awake! I cannot recommend Alex and Musical Bumps enough, a great introduction for all our future rock stars.’

‘I’ve been taking my little girl to Musical Bumps since she was 3 months old and she’s now 18 months old and it’s very much the highlight of our week! It’s truly inspired her love for music and she doesn’t stop asking for songs all day long. Alex is so wonderful with all the children and has such a passion for what she does.’

“We love Musical Bumps. It’s really interactive and lots of fun. My very active 2 year old loves singing along to all the songs, joining in with the actions and playing the different instruments each week.’

‘I’ve been going to Musical Bumps for over a year from when my son was a baby. We both love Musical Bumps. It’s always so much fun and leaves us with a big smile on our faces for the rest of the day. Alex is such a truly lovely person. She is so friendly, incredibly thoughtful and just cares. My son absolutely loves every part of the class, Alex is incredible interacting and treats every single child with love, care and patience. My son especially loves giving Alex cuddles in class. We both love the singing and dancing with different themes every week. We have the Musical Bumps sound track in our car so in between class we can sing along and I just love the ideas it give us to play, dance and have fun at home. If you ever have to miss a class, I just absolutely love the online recordings as they are just fantastic, in a different way. I would highly recommend Alex’s Musical Bumps to anyone with a baby, toddler or preschool child.’
